JACKSON, Wyo. — As hunting season comes to an end, Sporting Lead-FreeHole Food Rescue and Wyoming Wildlife Federation have come together to create an opportunity for hunters to showcase generosity and help the community.

These organizations are hosting the Second Annual Game Meat Donation Event and asking hunters to donate their excess packaged frozen meat. No amount is too small, all donations are greatly appreciated. Last year, hunters graciously donated 282 pounds of packaged game that was distributed by Hole Food Rescue. The purpose of this event is to put food on the plates of community members.

Support the cause on Saturday, Dec. 16 and drop off packaged game meat at the Wyoming Game and Fish Department‘s regional office at 420 N Cache St. Donations are being collected from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Breakfast and coffee will be provided. Donors will be entered to win a prize donated by JD High Country Outfitters.
