JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Game and Fish Department (WGFD) is seeking feedback and public comments regarding upcoming hunting season regulations.
WGFD will host two meetings with an open house format in the Jackson Region. The format is designed to give participants flexibility to arrive and depart anytime during the meeting window. The Jackson meeting will take place at the Jackson Game and Fish Regional Office (420 N. Cache Street) on Wednesday, March 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A meeting in Thayne will take place at the Thayne Community Center, Room B100 (250 Van Noy Parkway), on Thursday, March 19, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
“Hunters are an essential piece of setting hunting seasons, and now is the time to get involved in the process,” WGFD said in a statement. “Attending a public meeting is also a great opportunity to talk with local biologists and wardens, learn about local wildlife populations, and ask questions.”
According to WGFD, initial regulations were posted online in February to initiate the public comment period. Field staff have been reviewing data and public input in order to develop the 2026 season recommendations.
The updated draft regulations will be available on the WGFD website by March 18, and videos with district-specific information will be posted to YouTube by March 22. Public comment will remain open through April 1 at 5 p.m. Public comments can be submitted online, at meetings or by mail.
