TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — Head to Teton Village on Friday to kick off the end-of-year celebration of WinterFest.

The annual lighting of the Village will take place on the Village Commons from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, complete with free champagne, hot chocolate, cookies, sparklers and live music.

The official lighting will begin at 5 p.m. and there will be live music and dancing under the tram. The event will take place in partnership with Jackson Hole Public Art’s GlowNights. According to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and JH Public Art, the illuminated art installations will include Electric Dandelions and the Cloud Swing.

Free ice skate rentals will be available during the event, and guests are welcome to bring their own skates. WinterFest includes two other skating events that offer free skate rentals, from 3 to 5 p.m. on Mondays, Dec. 22 and 29.

Free events will happen daily in Teton Village for WinterFest, with the torchlight parade and fireworks finale taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 31, for New Year’s Eve.
