Update, 9:55 a.m.: Teton Pass has reopened in both directions with chain law level 1 in effect, according to WYDOT. Original story follows:

WILSON, Wyo. — Heads up, commuters. Teton Pass is closed this morning for avalanche control work.

According to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT), the estimated reopening time is between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., per a driver alert issued just before 8 a.m.

The Pass had been closed at 2 a.m. for scheduled avalanche mitigation; subsequent alerts indicate it reopened around 4 a.m., and then closed again at 7:53 a.m. Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center forecasts “very dangerous” avalanche conditions in the Tetons today.
