WILSON, Wyo. — Heads up, Teton Pass users!

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) has announced a scheduled closure of WY22 over Teton Pass for avalanche control, beginning at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25. To accommodate the closure, parking will not be allowed between the Wilson and Idaho state line closure gates beginning at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 24.

“Reduced visibility, winter driving conditions, and increasing avalanche hazard may force an earlier closure,” WYDOT stated in the announcement, adding, “Travel conditions over Teton Pass are expected to be difficult through the duration of this storm. Highway travelers and backcountry users are advised to plan accordingly. Thank you for you cooperation.”
