A home at last: Michelle’s story. “Teton Habitat helped me achieve the dream of homeownership, and now my kids have a place to call home.”
JACKSON, Wyo. — It’s a big year for Teton Habitat! For 30 years, Habitat for Humanity of the Greater Teton Area has been building not just houses, but the foundation of community itself: helping local families put down roots, thrive, and call Jackson home. This fall, Teton Habitat invites everyone to join the celebration of three decades of building homes and hope, and to help lay the groundwork for the next 30 years.
On Tuesday, Nov. 4, from 5 to 7 p.m., join Teton Habitat in the Center for the Arts lobby for a free anniversary celebration. The evening will include light appetizers, non-alcoholic beverages (free of charge), and a cash bar while friends and neighbors reconnect. Guests will hear directly from a Habitat homeowner and enjoy a short video highlighting 30 years of building homes and hope right here in the Tetons.
As part of this milestone, the Hughes Charitable Foundation has stepped forward with generous challenge gifts to power the next phase of Teton Habitat’s work. But to unlock the full potential of these gifts, the community must join in. Every donation made before the end of the year helps meet these matches, doubling the impact of each dollar. When you give, your support goes twice as far, helping more teachers, first responders, service workers, and families find stability through affordable homeownership.
Teton Habitat’s beloved Poinsettia Sale also returns this season, offering a bright and meaningful way to give back. Each plant is $17, with $11 from every sale going directly to support Teton Habitat’s housing efforts. Orders of 15 or more receive free local delivery, and orders can be placed online at tetonhabitat.org through November 20. It’s a festive tradition that spreads holiday cheer while building homes and hope for hardworking local families.
And the celebrations don’t stop there! Teton Habitat will host a family-friendly Gingerbread House Decorating event in December, bringing the community together once again in the spirit of creativity and giving.
