TETON VILLAGE, Wyo. — New snow brought droves of skiers to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort (JHMR), and JHMR Ski Patrol joined forces with Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) to assist a skier who had gotten hurt outside of the resort’s boundaries on Thursday.
TCSAR shared that it was mobilized just past noon on Thursday to assist a 44-year-old local woman who had sustained an injury in the Four Pines area. She was reportedly unable to ski out of the area unassisted, so Ski Patrol requested helicopter assistance from TCSAR.
The helicopter was dispatched and landed in a clearing near the patient, who was then loaded for internal transport and flown down to the base of Teton Village. TCSAR shared that its mission was complete in 1 hour and 35 minutes.
Between Dec. 1, 2024, and Nov. 30, 2025, TCSAR received more than 150 calls for service, according to its annual report. Stay safe out there.
