JACKSON, Wyo. — A small but dedicated crowd attended the R Park Winter Solstice Celebration on Friday, Dec. 19, despite the not-so-typical winter weather.

Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer stopped by to document the festival, which has seen much larger crowds in the past when there has been plenty of snow for sledding and snow angels.

Attendees weathered a wet and slushy evening while enjoying hot chili and warm beverages. Colorfully decorated lanterns dotted the area. Outdoor heaters and fire pits elevated the mood and offered heat.
