JACKSON, Wyo. — Sometimes patience pays off.
Buckrail reader Griffin Kerwin captured four time-lapse video clips of the aurora borealis on Tuesday night.
Kerwin witnessed the northern lights as they undulated over the Teton range and downtown Jackson.
According to NOAA’s Space Weather Prediction Center, geomagnetic activity hit an 8 on an intensity scale of 0 to 9 Tuesday night, caused by plasma ejections from the sun.
Tuesday night’s show was an encore to another severe storm observed Monday night.
