JACKSON, Wyo. — Birders, here’s a new species to log.

A new public art installation has arrived at the Center for the Arts. The Soloveiko Songbirds — a project by artist collective Amigo & Amigo, collaborator Svitlana Reinish and composer Anton Dehtiarov — will be displayed on the Center lawn until Feb. 2. Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer stopped by to get a look at the avian visitors.

The towering inflatable sculptures represent Ukraine’s national bird: the nightingale. Each of the four birds sings a unique song and represents a different region of the country through its textile-style design.

The birds have toured across the world since being commissioned in 2023 for the Eurovision Cultural Festival.

“Soloveiko Songbird celebrates the spirit of song, color, and community that unites us all,” Jackson Hole Public Art said in a statement. The birds will be on display as part of the nonprofit’s annual GlowNights series.
