WILSON, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) is now expecting to complete work on the Snake River Bridge project in July, potentially up to three weeks after the original goal of June 30.
WYDOT Resident Engineer Bob Hammond told Buckrail that the timeline has been extended to account for the addition of an epoxy overlay, which Hammond says will work as a useful sealant on the new bridge deck.
“We felt it needed to have an extra layer of protection on it,” he said.
Hammond added that Ames Construction was “cruising right along” and doing great work on the project, which had been on track for the June 30 completion date before the epoxy work was tacked on.

Once the new bridge span is in place in June, Hammond said, crews will have more flexibility to move traffic lanes around while final touches are completed.
