JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce and the Bank of Jackson Hole are highlighting the importance of shopping locally with Small Business Saturdays throughout the month of December. Visit the Holiday Information Center at the Stage Stop on the Town Square each Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m.  Enjoy cookies and cocoa, and enter to win a weekly prize provided by JH Marketplace.

Originally launched by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturdays is a shopping promotion encouraging consumers to shift their focus from large retail chains to the unique offerings of local businesses. In an era where online shopping and big-box retailers dominate, Small Business Saturdays serve as a vital reminder of the importance of preserving and supporting the unique fabric of the Jackson Hole economy. Shop local on the four Saturdays in December leading up to Christmas (Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23).
