JACKSON, Wyo. — There’s something undeniably magical about Jackson Hole during the holidays. Snow blankets the wooden boardwalks, elk antler arches glow under twinkling lights, and the heart of our Western town transforms into a festive wonderland. Right in the center of it all is one of our most beloved traditions, Santa on the Square.
From December 13 through Christmas Eve (excluding the 15th and 16th), Santa will be waiting in the cozy Stage Stop cabin on the Town Square, ready to hear wish lists and spread cheer from 5 to 7 p.m. each evening. And best of all? It’s completely free, a gift from all of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce member businesses to our community.
Each child who visits receives a legendary sourdough candy button cookie, freshly made and generously donated by Jedediah’s Catering & Concessions. Pair that with a warm cup of complimentary hot cocoa, and you’ve got the recipe for an unforgettable evening under the twinkling lights of the Town Square.
But it’s not just about cookies and cocoa — Santa on the Square is about creating memories. The Stage Stop cabin, draped in holiday charm, provides the perfect rustic backdrop for photos. Whether your little one is meeting Santa for the very first time or you’re capturing your annual family tradition, be sure to bring your own camera and snap away. Pets are welcome too, so don’t forget your furry family members!
As Chamber Special Events Manager Lyrica Miron shares, “There’s nothing quite like seeing Santa in our cozy log cabin on the Town Square. It’s pure holiday magic. Watching families gather, children’s faces light up with joy, and our community volunteers make this one of Jackson Hole’s most cherished traditions.”
And speaking of volunteers, this event wouldn’t be possible without the help of our incredible community. Local high school students serve as Santa’s helpers, joining Chamber volunteers who give their time to make each night merry and bright.
