VICTOR, Idaho — Victor is on track to get a new Maverik gas station and convenience store if plans are approved.

A proposal for the new complex, which would sit at 427 Larkspur Ave between Idaho 33 and Agate Ave, was filed the City of Victor July 18 by the firm AWA Engineering, representing developer Maverik, Inc.

The proposed station would include a 4,425 sq ft convenience store and restaurant and two rows of pumps, one for personal vehicles and one for larger vehicles. Gas, food and beverage would be available 24 hours. The facility would also house a recreational vehicle “dump” and air compressor.

“Fuel, fresh food preparation, rest rooms are all under the same roof,” the variance proposal reads.

The land proposed to house the Maverik covers 2.31 acres stretching along Idaho 33. A site plan shows two entrances to the complex, both coming off of Agate Ave.

AWA filed a variance with the city requesting exceptions to existing building regulations. The firm is seeking to have a wider driveway than allowed by the city, eyeing 167 ft “to allow proper ingress/egress to the site.” The variance also seeks permission to build a greater parking area than regulations allow and a taller building, with the firm seeking approval for a 30 ft ceiling at the store entry, over the 24 ft allowance, according to the variance.

AWA also asked to change the zoning of the property, which is currently approved for an industrial space, to a commercial one.

Documents filed with the city do not specify when a review of the variance and zoning requests will take place.
