JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Brandon Gellis will exhibit works at the Center Theatre Gallery beginning today.
Gellis is a digital, new media artist and educator. He is faculty in the University of Wyoming Department of Art & Art History.

His newest multimedia experience is entitled innate confluences and includes 3D printed and laser cut interactive pieces, landscape reconstructions of Wyoming and Rocky Mountain West landscapes, and original video of the artist’s time exploring nature. It was most recently on display in Loveland Art Museum in Colorado and the Truman State University Visual Arts Gallery in Missouri.
Biological changes occur naturally across Earth’s many landscapes. This exhibit explores the acceleration of changes because of human impact. Brandon’s work invites viewers to develop intimate relationships with their natural surroundings.
Gellis’ work also explores geological and ecological data of flora and fauna to make scientific data interesting and accessible to all audiences. The local exhibition will allow viewers to think about their presence on the natural landscape without direct pressure, and embraces The Center Theater Gallery’s sloping corridor to provide a natural transition from abstracted to more direct work.
Artist Talk – Thursday, June 28 at 12:00pm
Opening Reception – Friday, June 29 from 5:30-7pm
Free and open to the public
