JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Library (TCL) will be hosting a pop-up clothes repair and information station near the base of the Snow King gondola on Friday, March 1 from 12 to 6 p.m.
According to the TCL, outreach librarians will be on hand to offer on-the-spot simple repairs of winter gear (soft goods only), and will distribute library cards and information.
“We hope to promote the ease with which you can repair gear, rather than buying new, with tools like the Library’s WonderLab sewing machines,” TCL Outreach Coordinator Anna Barker said via press release. “So we’re bringing the repair station to the place where most of the rips and tears happen.”
Staff will be sharing information about snow safety and ski tuning, and will have a variety of ski films on hand for checking out.
“We’ll have a selection of skier-friendly items from our collection to show off, like our Library of Things ski tuning kit, avalanche safety books and classic ski films on DVD,” Barker added.
Library programs are free and open to the community.
