JACKSON, Wyo. — The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour will make a stop in Jackson on Thursday, Feb. 19, at The Virginian Lodge from 6 to 8 p.m. hosted by the Jackson Hole Land Trust (JHLT).

Attendees can support local land conservation by attending the free screening of curated films that celebrate living, working, and playing in wild landscapes.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with free admission available at the door or through a limited number of advance seat reservations online. Food and beverages will be available for purchase from Billy’s Burgers and the Saloon, and attendees will have the chance to win tickets to Astoria Hot Springs during an in-person giveaway.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival was started by watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL), in 2003. The festival’s name is in celebration of SYRCL’s landmark victory to receive “Wild & Scenic” status for 39 miles of the South Yuba River in 1999. The home festival kicks off the international tour to communities around the globe, building a network of grassroots organizations connected by a common goal of using film to inspire activism.

“The Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour is thrilled to make four stops in Wyoming this season,” said National Tour Manager Michael Huth. “The 2025 festival theme of ‘Wild at Heart’ speaks to the power of wild places to spark inspiration, compassion, and understanding of the world around us. Hosting this event is a chance for organizations like the Jackson Hole Land Trust to connect with their communities and raise local awareness by showcasing their work. WSFF is a 20-plus year tradition of getting  people of all ages together to feel empowered and excited through a night of inspiring films.”

This year’s tour event in Jackson features a lineup that celebrates resilience, restoration, and the power of people and places we call home. From the rugged mountains of Wyoming to the Italian Dolomites, each film captures how adventure, stewardship, and innovation come together in the wild places we love. The festival is a natural extension of the JHLT’s work to inspire people to act on behalf of the amazing landscape that is home.
