JACKSON HOLE, WYO – A Jackson woman was injured in a crash outside of Ririe, Idaho last night.
On Thursday, August 23 at approximately 7:20pm, Idaho State Police investigated a two-vehicle injury crash westbound on US26 at 353, about four miles east of Ririe.
Lisa Fowler, 49, of Jackson, Wyo., was eastbound on US26 and drifted over the center line, striking a westbound BMW X3 head-on. The BMW, driven by Donkguo Zhou, age 44 of Richmond, British Columbia, caught fire after the collision.
All occupants were able to exit the vehicle. Fowler and one of Zhou’s passengers were taken by ground ambulance to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. Two other passengers in Zhou’s vehicle were taken by air ambulance, also to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
All occupants were wearing seatbelts. The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
