JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson Hole Fire/EMS Foundation announced via Facebook that the 2023 volunteer recruit class completed their first week of onboarding.

The 11 new volunteers went through orientation and basic life support and emergency vehicle operations courses this past week.

The 11 new recruits are Jill Learned, Alison McIntyre, Jocey Querry, Sarah Schuhler, William Luskey, Jared GeBauer, Patrick Davis, Charles Crotteau, Katie Bernasek, Erick Alpizar, Coy Abel and Erynn Hargrave.

The volunteer recruits will now begin working shifts with the crews to familiarize themselves with operations. Then in a few months, they will begin classes to obtain required certifications like Emergency Medical Technician and structural and wildland firefighting courses, JH Fire/EMS Foundation wrote in the post.

“Please give a warm welcome and thank you to these community members who are willing to take on this huge endeavor of volunteering for Jackson Hole Fire EMS,” the post states.
