DRIGGS, Idaho — Parts of eastern Idaho are in for a gusty day.

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Teton Valley and the Upper and Lower Snake River Plain, in effect Monday from noon to 8 p.m. Southwest winds of 30 to 40 mph are expected, with gusts up to 55 mph. Driggs, Shelley, Ashton, Tetonia, Rexburg, Idaho Falls, Blackfoot, Mud Lake, Pocatello, Craters of the Moon National Monument, Fort Hall, American Falls and St. Anthony are all named in the message.

“Pockets of gusts at or above 60 mph are possible,” the advisory reads. “Gusty winds could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles. Unsecured objects may be blown around.”

Windy conditions are also expected on the Wyoming side — the weather service is calling for 35 mph gusts in Jackson. Watch the Wyoming forecast here, and the Idaho forecast here.
