JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Rocky Mountain Bank has planned a fitting sendoff to its Chief Executive Officer Jim Moses. The longtime banker will be retiring after a career that began 50 years ago in Montana.
For the last 18 years Moses has dedicated himself to building relationships in Jackson both through his banking career and his dedication to community and philanthropy.
After stepping down as President of First Interstate Bank in 2011, Moses turned his sights on rescuing RMB. At the time, Rocky Mountain Bank was in dire straits, receiving zero stars from BauerFinancial (its lowest rating) and in jeopardy of takeover by federal regulators.
But Moses made it his ambition to save the bank, believing the community needed and wanted it to succeed. He assembled a team of more than a dozen investors including, most notably, Allan Tessler. Eventually turned things around. Today, RMB enjoys a 5-star rating from BauerFinancial (its highest rating).
Rocky Mountain Bank staff has organized a little soiree for Mr. Moses as he turns his sights to the next adventure.
“Jackson, for my wife and I, is proof that the good things did happen before the end. Thanks to all,” Moses offered in parting.
Jim Moses Retirement Party. Wednesday, October 10, 4:30-6:30pm at the branch on 890 W. Broadway. Moses will make remarks at 5:30pm.
