WILSON, Wyo. — Beware, Teton Pass users: traffic on WY22 is stopped due to a diesel spill at mile marker 12, according to an alert from Teton County Emergency Management (TCEM).

Around 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) issued a driver alert warning of a stalled semi truck blocking a travel lane at milepost 12. WYDOT advised drivers to expect delays.

Then, just before 5 p.m., TCEM issued this alert on behalf of Jackson Hole Fire/EMS: “Teton Pass closed at mile marker 12 due to diesel fuel spill from a semi truck. Avoid the area and use alternate routes. Closure expected for at least one more hour. Do not drive through contaminated roadway.”

Keep an eye on the situation using WYDOT’s webcams here. See the WYDOT travel map here. Sign up for TCEM alerts here. Buckrail will provide story updates as information becomes available.
