JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Buckrail was riding the tram at JHMR the other day when a liftie pointed out the Grand to tourists and claimed someone (actually three someone’s) had climbed the iconic mountain twice in the same day. No way!
Sure enough, two days later, here is the story from Mountain Weekly. Meredith Edwards, Jason Schlarb, and Jake Urban all summited the Grand Teton together, returned to the parking lot, and then did it again. The 16 hours of running, climbing, and hiking was likely a first (Buckrail has heard of no other claims to have climbed the Grand twice in a day).
Mike Hardaker’s interview with the trio comes complete with a half-hour of the raw audio.
