JACKSON, Wyo. — Three weeks remain to take advantage of free yoga classes at the Greenspace on the Block.
The Jackson Hole Land Trust has been hosting three yoga classes per week since the beginning of July outside on the lawn at 155 E. Broadway Avenue. The classes are led by local instructors and are free for the public to attend.
Bringing a yoga mat is recommended, but a limited number of yoga mats are available for participants on a first-come, first-served basis. The classes are always weather-dependent.
“Since The Land Trust is making [yoga] free for everyone, I’m teaching people I’ve never taught, but they still have their own practice,” said yoga instructor Dani Perry. “That is my favorite part.”
Perry is a yoga instructor at Inversion Yoga, and this is her first year teaching at the Greenspace. Her class on Thursday afternoons is an all-levels vinyasa class. Perry told Buckrail that anywhere from eight to 20 people attend each week.
“It is a nice little oasis in the middle of the crazy summer,” Perry said.
The Jackson Hole Land Trust told Buckrail that this is the fourth summer it has hosted yoga at the Greenspace. Two yoga instructors have returned who taught during past years.
Below is the weekly schedule of classes that will continue until Aug. 28:
- Mondays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Erwin Velasquez
- Wednesdays, 10 to 11 a.m. with Jes Neuhaus
- Thursdays, 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with Dani Perry
