Experience convenience: START Airport Shuttle service offers reliable transport

JACKSON, Wyo. — Headed out of town for a long weekend? Enjoy reliable transportation to and from the Jackson Hole Airport with the START Airport Shuttle! The bus is free on Saturday, Feb. 14 and Saturday, March 21

Service is provided as part of a pilot program with support from START, the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Board, and Jackson Hole Airport. Show support for this service by riding!

Traveling between Jackson and the airport just got easier with the Transit app, which allows users to track a bus in real time, plan each trip, and even purchase shuttle tickets right from a smartphone.

Service will be available all winter long until April 6. Coach buses are outfitted with luggage bay storage and roomy seating.

Service from Miller Park runs from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, and service from JAC runs from 5:40 a.m. to 9:40 p.m. daily, with the last bus waiting until 10 p.m. to depart the airport. Extra trips will be offered throughout the day to accommodate peak mid-day flights.

There are numerous ways to access the shuttle service. Stops are located in Jackson’s commercial core/lodging district at:

Miller Park (Milward Street at Deloney Ave) START bus transfer hub;
Antler Inn (Pearl between Glenwood Street and Cache Street);
Deloney Bus shelter (on Deloney Avenue between King Street and Willow Street), and
Home Ranch Welcome Center (Gill Avenue and Cache Street (Hwy 191)

Additionally, there are 21 lodges/inns/motels/hotels, one parking garage and three public parking lots located within 1,300 feet of one of the four shuttle stops. Options for accessing the four shuttle stops include:

Walk to an Airport shuttle stop.
Take a START bus (Free Town shuttle in Jackson, Teton Village Local or Express bus from Teton Village) to Miller Park and transfer to the Airport shuttle.
Take START-on- Demand (free START demand response) service from East Jackson to Miller Park (or any of the four Airport shuttle stops) and transfer to the Airport shuttle.
Have a family member or friend drop you off at any of the four stops.
Take Uber or Lyft or a taxi to any of the four stops.
Park at Miller Park parking lot, Deloney parking lot, Home Ranch parking lot or Milward/Simpson parking garage and have a friend/ family pick up the car from the parking lot/garage. Catch the Airport shuttle at the adjacent shuttle bus stop (The Antler Inn bus stop is located approximately 1 ½ blocks from the Milward/Simpson Parking garage.) Limited amounts of free parking are available at Miller Park, Deloney parking lot and Home Ranch parking lot from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m. in winter. There is no parking between 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. to allow for overnight snow plowing. The Milward/Simpson parking garage is free between the hours of 4 a.m. and midnight (12 a.m.). Users will be charged $5.00 per hour to park between the hours of midnight and 4 a.m.
Drive to the Jackson Hole airport and park at JAC and have a friend/family member take the Airport shuttle to JAC and pick up the car.
