JACKSON, Wyo. — The wait is over! Aurora, the highly anticipated new dining experience at Snow King Mountain, is now open.
Guests can take a scenic gondola ride to the summit and enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience with breathtaking views of the Tetons and the town of Jackson. Aurora is open Thursday through Monday at 4:30 p.m.
An Elevated Culinary Experience
Aurora offers an exceptional fusion of refined cuisine and stunning mountain scenery. Leading the kitchen is Chef Brandon Hicks, an acclaimed talent whose career includes time at New York City’s Brasserie 8 1/2, ilili and Michelin-starred Picholine, as well as San Francisco’s exclusive private club, The Battery.
Chef Hicks brings his expertise and creative touch to Jackson Hole, crafting a menu that highlights elevated regional cuisine from the Greater Yellowstone area.
“I’m eager to experiment with locally sourced ingredients to design a menu that highlights the flavors of the region,” said Hicks.
Guests can indulge in expertly prepared dishes including buffalo sirloin carpaccio, elk tenderloin and grilled swordfish – each designed to surprise and delight.
Reservations Now Available
Reservations for Aurora can be made via Resy or by calling (307) 284-4427. A reservation fee is charged upon booking and refunded on the final bill. For those looking to experience Aurora without a dinner reservation, guests can sit at the bar and choose from the available bar menu. Guests can call ahead or inquire at the base of the gondola for a complimentary ride to the summit throughout February.
Pair Dinner with a Stargazing Experience
For an unforgettable evening, guests can elevate their visit by combining dinner at Aurora with a stargazing experience at the Snow King Mountain Observatory and Planetarium. Stargazing and dining packages will soon be available, offering a unique way to explore both of these new summit attractions.
Looking ahead, Aurora and the Summit House will celebrate their grand opening in spring 2025, unveiling additional outdoor dining experiences and a full menu launch. This marks the beginning of an exciting new era at Snow King Mountain, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Starting this weekend, February 8th, breakfast and lunch options will be available at the Summit House in the new grab and go space located on the front of the building. The Aurora team will be crafting an elevated selection of pastries, sandwiches, and pizza slices for grab and go service. A selection hot and cold tasty beverages will also be available.
