JACKSON, Wyo. — Jackson’s first Target will open April 3, the company announced today.
The store is located at 510 South Highway 89 in the building that used to house K-Mart. The 70,000 square-foot space has been undergoing renovations, including the addition of a Starbucks, to prepare for its grand opening.
Since 2012, Target has been experimenting with what it calls small-format stores, which average about 40,000 square feet. Full-sized Target stores measure in at 130,000 square feet. Target has opened about 30 small-formate stores a year for the past three years.
Few other details of the store or its opening have been revealed yet. A spokesperson for the company said more information will be released closer to the opening date.
