MORAN, Wyo. — On a sunny weekend morning, Buckrail photographer Nick Sulzer snapped an impressive photo of two fishermen recreating below the Jackson Lake Dam.

Limits on fishing below the dam are set to change in 2026.

The photo itself shows the grandeur and stature of the dam, below the always impressive Mount Moran that sits in the northern part of Grand Teton National Park.

“The illusion that the background is closer to the subject than it actually is, is achieved by using longer focal lengths (telephoto lenses) and increasing the distance between the camera and subject,” Sulzer said.
