JACKSON, Wyo. — Winters can be long in Jackson, and Teton Behavior Therapy is here to help the community with a wellbeing support group targeting seasonal depression.

The Winter Wellbeing Support Group will run on Tuesdays from Jan. 13 to March 31. Meetups will be hosted on Zoom each week from noon to 1 p.m. The free online sessions use a drop-in format where participants are encouraged to join when support is needed, though registration is required.

“Whether you’ve completed our four-week Seasonal Depression Program or are new to support, this weekly online group helps you stay consistent with key SAD [seasonal affective disorder] tools: light therapy, meaningful activities, social connection, and having things to look forward to,” reads the announcement from Teton Behavior Therapy. “Winter is long — this group offers practical skills, shared problem solving, and accountability in supportive, understanding community.”

Participants can expect the focus each week to rotate through three themes: something to do, someone to love, and something to look forward to. The program will be led by Morris Weintraub, who will facilitate check-ins, problem solving and celebrating small wins. Those who join in can anticipate accountability, connection and discussions with space to share experiences.
