UNITED STATES — Gov. Mark Gordon has ordered U.S. and Wyoming flags to fly at half-staff immediately in light of the school shooting that took place in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning.
Gordon’s order follows a flag proclamation by President Trump. Flags will fly at half-staff until sunset on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The announcement from Gordon’s office calls the flag order a “mark of respect for the victims of the senseless acts of violence perpetrated.” Two children were killed and 17 people were injured in the Annunciation Catholic School shooting.
