Woman injured after horse fall in south Fall Creek area

JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue responded to another horse-related injury after a woman fell off her horse and was safely transported to the hospital on Monday night.

The team got the pageout on Monday evening. A woman had fallen off her horse in the south Fall Creek Road area. A companion rode her horse out to the road to flag down a passerby, who was then able to contact her family to put in a distress call.

TCSAR volunteers responded with the RZR side-by-side and the wheeled litter. After reaching the patient, they packaged her in the wheeled litter and transported her about two miles down the trail to a waiting ambulance.

The incident marks the seventh person rescued by TCSAR since August 24 who’d been injured after falling from a horse.
