Win a week of summertime skiing at Valle Nevado

JACKSON, WY— Chile’s largest and most modern ski resort is paying Jackson Hole a visit, throwing a party, and giving away a five-night stay including lodging, lift tickets and half board.

Powder hounds will delight at Valle Nevado Ski Resort, located high in the Andes Mountains of Chile. The name literally translates to “Snowy Valley,” and it doesn’t lie. Most importantly, it turns 30 this year, and is part of the Mountain Collective pass.

To celebrate, Valle Nevado is hosting an Après ski party March 10 from 4-7 pm in the Teton Room at Teton Mountain Lodge (by the Spur Bar). Grab a bite and a cocktail and learn more about “summer” skiing. Professional skiers and snowboarders will provide video and testimonials about their experiences at Valle Nevado and visiting Chile. To top it off, Valle Nevado is giving away some huge prizes:

  • 5-night stay at Valle Nevado, includes lodging, lift tickets and half board.
  • 2 Mountain Collective passes for 2018/19
  • Valle Nevado swag
  • Teton Gravity Research swag

The prizes will be given at 6pm in a drawing.

About Valle Nevado:

Valle Nevado is South American’s foremost ski resort. It offers access to the largest amount of terrain and the most modern lift system on the continent. It’s just 90 minutes from Santiago National Airport—and it’s on EST, so there’s hardly any time change (no jet lag!).

The season runs from June 29-September 23. August is the most popular month for North Americans to visit. An interconnect ticket to two neighboring resorts opens another 7,000 total acres of varied terrain, and Valle Nevado offers world-class heli-skiing directly from the resort. Private condominiums or all-inclusive hotels sit just steps from ski runs.

Because our summer is their winter, many of the world’s best skiers and snowboarders visit Valle Nevado every year. It’s not uncommon to see olympic athletes like gold medal winner Matthias Mayer speeding down a Super G course, or big-mountain pro snowboarders like Jackson locals Mark Carter and Bryan Iguchi jumping on a helicopter for an insane day of Andean riding.

Valle Nevado is also notorious for its lack of lift lines. Most runs stay fresh and untracked for several days after a big storm. A short hike in the Inca Valley in the resort’s back bowl gives more adventurous skiers and snowboarders access to super steep terrain in the backcountry.

Mountain Collective pass holders get two free tickets, or can opt for a discounted stay with savings of up to 30 percent off hotel packages. Spend your summer vacation skiing South America’s biggest terrain and drinking pisco sours (Chile’s signature cocktail) in the heart of the Andes.
