Weeks away from summer opening and winter just won’t let go at JHMR

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has scheduled its summer season opening for May 20. That’s the date the bullwheel starts spinning again and Big Red flies to the top. Tourist checklist: sunscreen, camera, skis.

Just three weeks from opening the summit for summer activity and Corbet’s Cabin is nowhere to be found. The winter of “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” is not stopping. Not at elevation. Snowfall for the year is 621 inches with an unreal 160-inch snowpack at the base of the mountain.

Andrew Schrum, who writes the JHMR blog passed along these outrageous photos.
