JACKSON, Wyo. — Employees at the Virginian property confirmed for Buckrail that the iconic saloon and grill will be closing next week.
Orion Companies last month purchased the entire 13-acre property that includes the Saloon, lodging, RV park, and restaurant. The new owners vowed they would make little substantial change to how the property’s amenities operated other than giving the place a facelift.
That appears to be getting underway with the saloon on August 18 when Orion official assumes management of the property.
Onsite employees added that some rooms are being renovated piecemeal when they are blocked out. Employees have been told they will be retained through any future remodeling work to the hotel or the restaurant.
The Saloon is expected to be closed all winter with a reopening date tentatively scheduled for spring 2021.
