JACKSON — Residents, citizens, and voters will be able to watch or listen to Teton County Primary Election debates — and submit questions — as they are live-streamed and broadcast tonight, Wednesday, August 5 and tomorrow, Thursday, August 6.
Teton County Primary Election Online Candidate Forums:
The candidate forums, sponsored by The League of Women Voters, Teton County Library and local media (Buckrail, Jackson Hole News & Guide, 89.1 KHOL and WyoFile), will provide the community with a neutral, thorough and informed examination of what issues Jackson Hole voters face in the 2020 elections.
Representatives from the local media will ask questions on a variety of topics and policies for the candidates to answer, and a member from the League of Women Voters will moderate the forum. The public may submit comments before the forums by emailing deebuckstaff@gmail.com.
Town of Jackson Candidate Forum
Jim Rooks, Devon Viehman, and Pete Muldoon seek Jackson Town Council seats. Hailey Morton Levison is running for Jackson mayor and Michael Kudar has mounted a mayoral write-in campaign seeking to get on the November ballot. The races are non-partisan.
Teton County Commission Candidate Forum
Teton County Board of Commission debates involve candidates Christian Beckwith (R), Peter Long (R), Greg Epstein (D), and Natalia Macker (D). Any independent candidate who collects enough signatures, verified by election authorities, to enter the county race may be included that evening.
The Primary Election for the two parties takes place on August 18. All of the candidates will advance to the general election.
