JACKSON HOLE, WYO – As the school season heads to a close in the coming weeks, Teton County School District #1 administrators are busy buttoning up a few openings in the coaching staff.
David Joyce, 37, has agreed to be Jackson Hole High School Broncs next football coach. Ed Anderson has taken on the role of head wrestling coach. Tracy Castagno will be the head dance team coach. A few coaching vacancies remain for high school and middle school football, as well as assistant wrestling and head cheerleading.
Coach Joyce was the head football coach at Mountain Home High School in Mountain Home, Arkansas where he coached a team in the 6A East conference, the second largest classification in Arkansas. During his five-year tenure, Joyce rebuilt the Bomber football program from the ground up, finishing the season tied for third in the conference.
Coach Anderson has been a long time wrestling coach of high school students. He coached at Bingham High School in Bingham, Utah, and in Rigby, Idaho.
Castagno has been an assistant coach for the JHHS dance to for multiple years. This year she is going to step in as the head coach.
Activities director Mike Hansen said, “We are excited to announce some of our new coaching hires as I think we have found some great individuals that will continue to provide positive learning experiences for our students through activities.”
