JACKSON, Wyo. — Teton County Search and Rescue (TCSAR) transported an injured skier by helicopter off of Teton Pass Friday afternoon.
Volunteers responded just south of the Teton Pass pass parking area to help the injured skier, and after assessing the skier’s injuries and terrain, it was decided to do a helicopter short-haul.
“The rescue marked another proud moment for our team, as it was an all-female short-haul operation,” TCSAR said on Facebook. “Of the 36 members at TCSAR, seven are women and integral to the team’s success.”
The injured skier was airlifted to the lower parking area on the pass, with the team completing the mission in less than three hours.
