JACKSON HOLE, WYO – One of Jackson’s longest traditions is returning after a brief hiatus. The 49er Ball is back this February under new direction. The 49er Ball was put on by the Lion’s Club for many years until 2018 when the organization just couldn’t pull it off. It would have been the 122nd celebration of the event that has long been considered a cure for cabin fever. Macey Mott told Buckrail that Riot Act, Inc. will take over the event, including voting and crowning of royalty. A long-standing tradition at the 49er Ball is to crown its Royalty. Riot Act is taking a little different approach with the tradition this time around. The six contestants will all compete against each other. Whoever receives the most votes will win 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place, accordingly. Be sure to attend the event on February 16, 2019 at the Virginian to find out who the winners are and what prizes they will receive.
