JACKSON HOLE, WYO \u2013 A grizzly bear in the Togwotee Pass area is dragging around some unwanted steel attached to its leg. A local photographer managed to capture an image of a boar griz with a conibear trap affixed to its tight front leg. Wyoming Untrapped was called and that organization has put out the word. Wyoming Game and Fish has been searching for the bear. If found they will tranq it and remove the trap. Since the bear was first spotted hobbling with the trap on May 31, game wardens have not yet been able to track it down. Conibear traps are quick-kill devices meant for beavers, weasels, mink, marten, and other smaller animals harvested for their pelts.
