JACKSON HOLE, WYO – A unique collaboration and a new novelty drink will help local birds on the mend.

Sidewinders, Jackson Hole Still Works, and Teton Raptor Center are pitching in together to create a very innovative approach to support raptors. On Wednesday, April 17 beginning at 5:30pm, Sidewinders will launch a new specialty cocktail entitled the “Feathered Bow Tie.” This classy drink is named after the ‘white bow tie’ markings found just under a Great Gray Owl’s beak.

The Feathered Bow Tie is concocted using Jackson Hole Still Works Great Grey Gin, grapefruit, St. Germain, and house-made rosemary simple syrup. Tasty, yes, and with a unique twist as a dollar from each drink sold this spring and summer will be donated to benefit the birds at Teton Raptor Center.

The evening will also feature live birds from 5:30-7:00pm, appetizers, Great Grey Gin samples, and a chance to meet with reps from all three organizations.

Teton Raptor Center and Jackson Hole Still Works began working together in early 2018 when they formed a partnership in which a portion of JHSW’s Great Grey Gin profits are annually donated to Teton Raptor Center. From that partnership came another idea: Would a restaurant in Jackson be interested in creating a specialty drink using Great Grey Gin and donate a portion of the drink sales back to TRC? Sidewinders showed immediate interest in the concept and the Feathered Bow Tie is now the featured specialty drink on their menu.

“Sidewinders is proud to support TRC’s raptor conservation efforts and to feature spirits from locally owned Jackson Hole Still Works,” said Nicole Davis, manager of Sidewinders.
