SUBLETTE COUNTY, WYO – Sublette County Unified Fire (SCUF) announced it is making available smoke alarm installation for about 50 homes per year in the community. SCUF is targeting the following groups:
The program is made possible thanks to a generous donation by Enterprise Products (Jonah Gas Gathering Asset).
The program is also sponsored free of charge by the Sublette County Commissioners and Sublette County Unified Fire in conjunction with grant support from federal and state agencies. SCUF also provides free installation of smoke alarms and CO detectors for those who can afford to buy their own alarms.
The Sublette County Unified Fire is a volunteer department comprised of six fire stations providing many services to the residents of Sublette County.
“Donations such as these not only help the department to provide their fire fighters with the tools, personal protective equipment and other resources needed for emergency response but to also continue the first-class customer service provided to the county,” said department public information officer Michael Petty.
