Snow King Stakeholder Group forming, looking for 10 volunteers

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Want a say in Snow King? As owners of the Town Hill move forward with expansion plans, a stakeholder group has been proposed by town officials.

The Town of Jackson and Snow King Mountain Resort are forming a stakeholder work group to provide feedback regarding the future of Snow King Mountain Resort and the surrounding base area. This group will be tasked with developing several consensus-based scenarios ensuring that any future development, uses and polices reflect the needs of Snow King, the Town of Jackson, the US Forest Service, and the residents of Jackson.

Up to 10 community members will be chosen to participate in the Snow King Mountain Stakeholder Group. The selection panel is seeking to fill these slots with community members representing a wide variety of diverse perspectives regarding the future of Snow King Mountain.

In addition to the community members selected, the stakeholder group will be comprised of town/county planning staff, Snow King staff and BTNF staff.

Those interested in participating in the stakeholder group would be expected to complete a brief application and commit to attending four group meetings which are anticipated to last six hours each. In addition to the stakeholder group meetings, two evening community meetings, open to all members of the public, have been scheduled in order to gather additional input on the future of Snow King Mountain Resort and to review the scenarios developed by the working group.
