JACKSON, Wyo. — Where did the Tetons go? With smoke blowing in from the west, many iconic views around Grand Teton National Park have been compromised from smoke blocking the Tetons.
For anyone who may be traveling to Jackson Hole for the first time and wondering where the mountains are, we promise, they’re there!
Fortunately, the smoke that blew in from California and Idaho has been clearing a little more since the weekend, but fires are still raging westward of the Tetons.
A Fire and Smoke Map is available online where users can see the latest updates and predictions regarding smoke and wildfires. According to the map, air quality has gotten much better over the past several days in the Jackson Hole region.
It’s also important to remember that smoke can be tough on the respiratory system. Use caution when exercising or participating in strenuous activities outside.
