Saturday at the Kotler rink in Victor is the place to be

TETON VALLEY, IDA – The Kotler Ice Area will be up and running this weekend. The official kickoff is Saturday, November 11 from 6-10pm.

Come skate to live music provided by the Rock Creek Band. Beers and brats will be available as well as skate rentals for those that do not have their own. Enjoy raffle prizes, register for upcoming programs, or just learn what is on the schedule for Winter 2017-18 at the Kotler.

Kotler is offering some old favorites along with a few new programs this skating season:

  • Adult Learn to Skate (New!)
  • Adult Learn to Play (Almost New!)
  • Women’s Hockey
  • Women’s-Only Learn to Play (New!)
  • Youth Learn to Skate
  • Youth Intermediate Skating Lessons
  • Youth Hockey
  • Girl’s Hockey (New!)
  • Coed Pond Hockey

Want to become more a part of the scene at the rink? How about applying for the “coolest job in town?” Teton Valley Fondation/Kotler Ice Arena is looking to hire another half-time or fulltime staff position. You not only get to drive a Zamboni and sharpen skates (and mop floors), but you’ll get to help support our passionate ice-loving community.

Did you always want to try women’s hockey but were unsure? Stop by the rink for a women’s hockey open house and meeting on Tuesday, Nov 14 at 6:30pm. Learn more, meet the ladies, drink beer, and eat pizza. Beginners are especially encouraged to attend.

Finally, drop by and meet the new rink assistant manager Michael Sanchez. He’s spent the past week perfecting the sheet of ice thanks to his many years experience managing ice at large pond hockey tournaments.
