JACKSON HOLE, WYO – Here are some recent calls for service in Teton County/Jackson from the dispatch log. Names may be withheld at the request of law enforcement. All persons cited or arrested are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law. Charges are subject to change following official filing from the Teton County Attorney’s Office.
June 14, 12:20am – Code Enforcement
An officer observed a subject urinating on the sidewalk at the intersection of Cache and Gill Streets. As a result, Zachary H Peterson, 24, of Jackson was cited for urinating in public.
June 14, 12:53am – Suspicious Circumstances
An officer took a report of a subject who had made four anonymous, harassing phone calls from what appeared to be an intoxicated subject. The calls were from San Antonio, TX and have since stopped.
June 14, 1:34am – Public Intoxication
Approximately an hour after being cited for urinating in public, Zachary H Peterson, 24, of Jackson was arrested for public intoxication after he was reported as passed out under a bus. When officers arrived he was no longer passed out, but clearly too intoxicated to care for himself.
June 14, 1:25pm – Shoplifting
Officers responded to a local business in reference to two juveniles who had shoplifted numerous items of clothing. When officers arrived the juveniles and the stolen merchandise were in a vehicle outside the store. Both subjects admitted to leaving the store without paying for the items. As a result, a 17-year-old female and a 16-year-old male, both of Victor, ID, were charged with shoplifting.
June 14, 2:03pm – Suicidal Subject
Officers responded to a report of a subject who had made suicidal comments to his girlfriend. Officers determined the threats were not legitimate, but rather intended to be manipulative. Some drug paraphernalia was taken from the residence for destruction. No charges are pending.
June 14, 8:50pm – Welfare Check
Officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female who had left a residence. Due to her intoxication level, the caller was concerned for her welfare. Officers were unable to locate the subject, but she later returned to the residence unharmed.
June 14, 9:04pm – Suicidal Subject
This is the same event as above. It was determined she was never suicidal.
June 15, 11:13am – Found Property
An officer took a report of a bike that was apparently abandoned. The bike did not match any that had been reported stolen. The bike was taken by the officer for safekeeping until the owner can be located.
June 15, 3:16pm – Suicidal Subject
Officers responded to a report of a subject who was distraught and threatening suicide. The subject was detained and taken for medical care.
June 15, 5:34pm – Drug Offense
Officers responded to a report of the smell of marijuana coming from a business. When they arrived, they found both the front and rear doors to the business standing open and the smell of marijuana was obvious coming from within the business. Officers contacted the two subjects inside who claimed ownership of the marijuana and paraphernalia. As a result, Russell A. Austin, 49, of Jackson and Derek E. Brecker, 49, also of Jackson were charged with possession of marijuana.
June 15, 9:47pm – Trespass
Officers responded to a report of a female causing a disturbance at a business. As a result, the subject was issued a criminal trespass notice prohibiting her from returning to the business.
