JACKSON, WY— The Liquor Store & Wine Loft Jackson Hole (TLSofJH) is rolling out the red carpet for the arrival of its newest whiskey. The twelfth Private Barrel Selection from Wyoming Whiskey releases on Friday, February 9, only at TLS.
TLS is celebrating the release of this unique new barrel with a tasting party on Friday from 4-7 pm. The opportunity to privately select a barrel from a distillery is a privilege, and TLS team member Jessa Talermo says the whiskey selection process is a competitive one:
The TLS tasting team “is always seeking balance,” Talermo said. “We consider the heat and the sweet, whether the whiskey in question is one for sipping and one for the mixing glass, and of course our various preferences.
“We are so excited to present our 12th private barrel selection from Wyoming Whiskey, #3790,” Talermo continued. “At this point, our friends in Kirby have bottled more barrels for us than any other distiller. Each of the privately selected Wyoming Whiskey barrels have done really well, with a great response from our customers. We’re confident that this latest selection will be just as popular.”
Wyoming Whiskey representatives David DeFazio and Jessica Spalding will be sampling the new barrel #3790 along with a few other specialty Barrel Selections from the past. David and Jessica will also be serving up a barrel-aged cocktail called the Barrel Roll. Not as dangerous or risky as the high altitude trick by the same name, The Barrel Roll is a top shelf Manhattan made using one of TLS’s finest Italian Sweet Vermouths, aromatic bitters, and of course Wyoming-made spiritus frumenti. There might even be some giveaways.
