Mural announced for Center Street construction

JACKSON, Wyo. – Jackson Hole Public Art is partnering with the Town of Jackson on a large-scale construction fence mural for the Center Street water line construction.

Center Street, between Broadway and Deloney in downtown Jackson, Wyoming, is currently closed for a water main replacement project, and soon you will be able to check out a massive mural on the pedestrian walkway fencing bordering the Town Square.

The mural was unveiled on April 10, 2020. It will move to the next phase of the project, Center Street between Deloney and Gill, after the current phase is complete.

The mural will depict a full visual story on wildlife, conservation, and water quality. Photo: JH Public Art// Cal Brackin

The artist Cal Brackin was selected for this project, based on his Wild Walls mural submission, which he then transformed into a full visual story on wildlife, conservation, and water quality. The mural will stretch for over 120 feet (at over 7 feet tall) and each animal will have augmented reality features, animated by Cal Brackin and produced in conjunction with Protect our Water JH.

Download the Artivive App on your phone and come down to the Town Square to connect with this art and learn more about these important issues, while keeping your social distance intact!
