Moose get loose tonight on the ice, weekend pair with Vail Poster Flyer Buckrail - Jackson Hole, news

JACKSON HOLE, WYO – The Jackson Hole Moose welcome the Vail Yeti to town tonight and tomorrow night.

Vail is the newest addition to the Black Diamond Hockey League. The Yeti replaced Missoula this season in the four-team league that also includes the Bozeman Stingers and Sun Valley Suns.

The Moose last faced Vail exactly a month ago, defeating the Yeti in two close ones. On Friday, November 17, 2016, the Moose downed Yeti 3-2 in regulation on the strength of a pair from Kyle Krauss. Saturday’s contest on November 18 last year, went to OT after the Moose came from behind to tie the game in the last two minutes on a goal from Alex Byers. AJ Sanders also potted two for JH. The Moose went on to win that game 4-3 in a shootout.

So these two teams play it close.

The Moose are 2-0 on the season after sweeping Bozeman on their opening weekend at home on Nov. 3-4.
