JACKSON, WY — Legacy Lodge at Jackson Hole will be offering free trishaw rides every Friday throughout this summer starting July 12.
The trishaw, a specially-crafted three-wheeled trike, is powered by a “pilot” (pedaler). Trishaws can carry up to two passengers sitting in the front. The goal is to allow aging passengers to experience the thrills, fresh air, and views that cycling offers.
Legacy Lodge has one trishaw as participants of Cycling Without Age. Founded by Ole Kassow, Cycling Without Age provides trishaws to senior living communities to help residents get outside and connected to their local community.
Any community members interested in trying a trishaw themselves can take advantage of free community rides every Friday from 2-4 p.m. Call Legacy Lodge at 307-734-0500 to schedule your ride! Legacy Lodge is also always looking for volunteer pilots — it’s a great way to give back and get a workout!
Be sure to stop by Legacy Lodge’s summer open house Thursday, July 25 at 2 p.m. The trishaw will be out and ready to ride!
