JPD warns of forged parking stickers

JACKSON, Wyo. — The Jackson Police Department posted a notice on its Facebook page yesterday warning people about forged parking stickers.

It sure looks official, but if your car has an orange warning sticker on it, JPD says it’s not legit.

“We’ve seen this parking sticker in a couple of different places in town,” JPD wrote on Facebook. “These are not official parking stickers and are not issued by the police department or Town of Jackson.”

The post included a friendly warning that “charges such as Criminal Mischief, Forgery and Impersonating a Police Officer come to mind.”

“If you really want to do parking enforcement, we are hiring and would love to have you on our team.”
